Blog Entry #4- Scene from past week

So my scene is from 2 weeks ago and it is about how my childhood friend Griffin Hillis came to my house after moving back from Florida after moving there about 5 years.

I was sitting on my incredibly comfy chair reclined chilling watching Malcolm in the Middle, and i fell asleep (best nap ever btw.) When i hear a ding dong and a few knocks on my front door, giddy with excitement i rushed to the door and opened it joyously.  Sure enough it was Griffin, we immediately rushed upstairs and flash backed to some good memories and began to get up to speed with each other, A plus side to this btw was my new amazing laptop came in so yea.  Then about 30 minutes later my friend Cody whom you all know arrived, well we kind of just did a bunch of really stupid things, like eating pizza throwing basketballs at each other, fighting, listened to terrible music (it was Chief Keef terrible, terrible artist)  and then we crashed.  The next day we woke up at 10 and made grilled cheeses and cooked bacon cuz who doesnt like bacon?  Then we saw Elysium which was awesome and we all enjoyed it, Cody left about 1 hour after we got back from Elysium and Griffin and I had some burgers from The Londoner (Sponsorship) and threw some food at each other.  Then we watched Netflix and that was incredibly funny we fell asleep at 3 and awakened at 12, we went to brunch at a fancy restaurant Mansurs on the Boulevard (Another Sponsorship) where i was offered a job which of course i rejected due to being under age.  We ate and left then we just chilled and at 6 Griffin left and i was sad faced because that weekend was a lot of fun plus we were starting school (blegh) and i had to deal with that too.

Reading Response: Throne of Fire

I don't know what these "personal questions" are so that confused me, and i was planning on reading the next book in the series for I love this series.

This book takes place about 6 months after the events of The Red of Pyramid and things have changed Sadie and Carter are 2 teenagers who have come into the world of Ancient Egyptian gods and have come to realize they have an Ancient Egyptian royalty bloodline.  They have to overcome the coming Chaos (Apocalypse) coming in the next 5 days, in order to do that they have to find 3 scrolls of Ra, and so far have come into two obstacles along the way of getting them.

The first problem starts right at the beginning of the book, the two protagonists and their students (they teach magic to people because they're that good.) Walt and Jaz both whom are both semi-good magicians, while they are going through the Brooklyn museum looking for the artifact that Carter's "partner god" Horus tells him to go find (by the way Horus had only informed Carter of the coming apocalypse 6 days before so yea.) the artifact Horus had told Carter to find.  They set off a bunch of magical traps while setting the city of Brooklyn on "fire" it wasn't really fire that burned you but it was fire don't ask.  They found the scroll and high-tailed it outta the museum because cops were there.  But i'm really just getting into the book it's very big.  The next obstacle is The House of Life which is a group of magicians who control the Egyptian Gods and know all about Egypt's history and such.  They know what Carter and Sadie are up to and Vladimir i forgot his last name, is sent to attack the protagonists place of work and that's where i stopped readin

My Summer

My summer was pretty much a complete compilation of everything that i enjoy which is video games, camp, and lastly sleeping.  I enjoyed my summer because it started on a little bit of a bad note but ended on a very good one.  The reason it started of a little badly was because it began the day before my cousins mother funeral which was upsetting.  However it ended on an amazing note because i was talking to my good friends again AND my friends moved back to Louisiana which is awesome.  Not to mention i get to see all the lovely people of Butternut High and isn't that just enough to make anyone happy?  By the way that wasn't sarcasm so don't even question me.

I think that my summer was pretty amazing because i really was all over the place i went to Carolina for camp, i went to Illinois and spent the majority of my summer with my cousin Jaden whom is very weird (Just to let you know.), and i went to Canada to see my mother and her family.  The first part of my summer i spent at camp which is Camp Carolina, the best camp ever and i saw all my amazing friends that go there and i enjoyed that 3 weeks thoroughly.  The next thing was a week in Illinois which was quite a bit of entertainment for Jaden and i were arguing all the time.  The next 2 weeks were spent in Canada with my mom, (and yes jaden accompanied me.) We had our arguments there as well but we had a lot of fun there even with my demonic siblings.  Then after those 2 weeks we went back to Illinois for another week and we watched a lot of Netflix stuff, and more arguments ensued.  FINALLY the grand finale of my summer i did nothing and it was the more uninteresting part of my summer so i wont talk about it.  Hope you enjoyed this amazing blog post on this amazing blog

Reading Response to The Knife of Never Letting Go

I disliked the book The Knife of Never Letting Go because i thought it was incredibly boring and it wasn't interesting to me.  There are many reasons why i disliked the book but i only have 2 paragraphs so i will only talk about 2.  The entire book i was bored of the book, i personally thought it was incredibly dull there was really no action and it bored me to death (Obvious exaggeration.)  The second reason and this is going to seem silly but how Aaron just refused to die he was mauled by a crocodile, bitten by a dog, while near death almost drowned, AND he got stabbed.  He just refused to die and it bugged me a lot and i know the author did it that way for explaining but it frustrated me.  The first reason i disliked the book was because i thought it was boring, the reason i thought it was boring is because when I began the book i pictured Prentisstown to be dis-colored, gray skies, just practically a ghost town with inhabitants(yea, i know that ghost towns don't usually have people i don't care.)  The point is that it was a boring thought in my head.  Todd was incredibly dull and he bored me as a main character, He was like Obi-Wan in the star wars prequels boring and dull.

The second reason i disliked the book was because as i stated earlier it's silly but how Aaron wouldn't die, I chose this because it frustrated me beyond measure.  I mean if you get mauled by a crocodile, get knocked out face down in the water ( In which case you drown.), AND have half your face bitten off by a dog you should be dead.  I don't think that the author really thought this through because Aaron was only human and last i checked humans are easily damaged so the fact that he survived all 3 of these things is ridiculous.  I was truly annoyed by Aaron and his invulnerability to damage so much that it seriously inflicted the rating of the book for me i truly disliked this in the book, not like i liked it that much even if this was a problem.  I really didn't like The Knife of Never Letting Go and i didn't like the fact it was a forced read.
